Governor candidate Falchuk visits Emerson

Evan Falchuk, independent candidate for Massachusetts Governor, spoke with Scholar-in-Residence Spencer Kimball’s campaign management class on September 24 about the intricacies of running a statewide election.

“For a candidate, he was really candid when talking with the students about his experience running for governor,” said Kimball, the faculty advisor of the Emerson College Polling Society. “It was very insightful.”

Falchuk, who helped launch the United Independent Party in Massachusetts last year, held a question-and-answer session with students toward the end of his visit. His opponents are Democrat Martha Coakley, Republican Charlie Baker, and independents Jeffrey McCormick and Scott Lively.

The election will take place on Tuesday, November 4.
