Podcast launched by School of Communication

Emersonian

Emerson’s School of Communication has launched a new free podcast, The Emersonian, which delves into topical issues on all things communication with commentary from students and faculty.

The first two episodes are now available on the iTunes store, with a new episode every other week.

Each episode begins with a reflection from Phillip Glenn, interim dean of the School of Communication.

In the first episode, Glenn interviews Associate Professor Tulasi Srinivas about “ambivalent globalization,” global cities, and the rise of clergy using social media. Cathryn Cushner Edelstein, senior scholar-in-residence, and two Fulbright scholars studying at Emerson discuss the challenges and rewards of international students coming to the United States for graduate education.

In the second episode, Journalism faculty members Paul Niwa and Jerry Lanson talk about trends in the highly evolving journalism industry; and student Kieran Callier ’16 performs an original poem.
