Salzburg Academy open to Emerson students

The International Study and External Programs Office is looking for Emerson students to attend The Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change—a three-week program from July 20-August 9 in Salzburg, Austria, that hosts 70 university students from 20 different countries to discuss topics of media literacy, global media, and innovation.

Interested students must submit an application online no later than midnight on March 15.

The program will offer four credits for a 300-level course for participating Emerson students.

The students live and work in the Schloss Leopoldskron, the palace made famous by the Julie Andrews film The Sound of Music, providing an exciting and beautiful setting. The program includes excursions to Munich and Vienna, and into the Alps.

Emerson is seeking a strong cohort of students to join this dynamic program. Three Emerson students attended last year.

Students must apply for the 2014 program online.

For questions, please email Paul Mihailidis, assistant professor in the Department of Marketing Communication who is also director of Salzburg Academy, at paul_mihailidis@emerson.edu.
