3 alumni win Tony Awards

Three Emerson alumni won 2013 Tony Awards on June 9 for their theatrical work.

Andrea Martin ’69 won Best Featured Actress in a Musical for Pippin. James L. Simon ’88 was an associate producer of Pippin, which also won for Best Revival of a Musical and several other categories.

Jason E. Grossman ’02 won Best Play for Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which he co-produced and which received six nominations.
