Trustee Tony Goldman remembered with portrait by Shepard Fairey

Shepard Fairey, the artist behind the famous “Hope” portrait of President Obama during the 2008 presidential race, has immortalized Emerson Trustee Tony Goldman ’65 by including an image of him at the center of an outdoor mural at Wynwood Walls, a street art museum in Miami. It was one of several arts institutions that Goldman, who passed away this year, helped to revitalize.

From an article in southflorida.com: “The great thing is that it’s based on a picture of Tony taken in front of that exact part of the wall,” Fairey says. “He was at an event, standing there, being welcoming.”
