Hoffman’s work featured by Poetry Foundation

Several poems from Senior Writer-in-Residence Richard Hoffman’s book Emblem have been selected and featured by the Poetry Foundation on its website. The poems are “Aphrodisia,” “Winter Psalm,” “An Old Story,” “Long Enough,” and “December 31st.”

The Poetry Foundation, publisher of Poetry magazine, is an independent literary organization committed to a vigorous presence for poetry in our culture.

In addition to the five poems, Hoffman has had other work from his poetry collection featured by the Foundation, including two poems from his collection Gold Star Road.

Hoffman is author of Half the House: A Memoir and the poetry collections Without Paradise; Gold Star Road, winner of the 2006 Barrow Street Press Poetry Prize and the 2008 Sheila Motton Award from the New England Poetry Club; and his latest, Emblem. His fiction work, Interference & Other Stories, was published in 2009. Hoffman’s work has appeared in Agni, Ascent, Harvard Review, Hudson Review, The Literary Review, Poetry, Witness, and other magazines. He currently serves as chair of PEN New England.
