Emerson to live stream Commencement

Emersonians from near and far will be able to watch The College’s 132nd Commencement exercises on Monday (May 14) via a live web stream at www.emerson.edu/commencement-live. Commencement viewers can also participate in real time by congratulating graduates, discussing the speeches, and viewing behind-the-scenes photos at www.emerson.edu/commencement-live and on Twitter using the hashtag #ECgrad.

Accomplished journalist and moderator of NBC’s Meet the Press David Gregory will speak at the undergraduate ceremony, which begins at 11:00 am. Tony Kushner, renowned author, screenwriter, and playwright who is best known for his Pulitzer Prize–winning play Angels in America, will deliver the Commencement address at the graduate ceremony, which begins at 3:00 pm.

The two keynote speakers will also receive honorary Doctorates of Humane Letters, along with entrepreneur and makeup artist Bobbi Brown ’79, and three–time U.S. poet laureate Robert Pinsky. The honorary doctorates will be presented at the undergraduate ceremony.

James Spetner ’12 is the student speaker for the undergraduate ceremony, and Nadia Zaffar, MA ’12, will deliver the graduate student address.
