LA alumni meet with admitted students

Kevin Bright ’76, one of the original executive producers and creator of Friends, and Dawn Steinberg ’83, executive vice president of talent and casting at Sony Pictures, spoke at an event headlined by Bright for students admitted to Emerson College. The event took place in Hollywood on Sunday, April 1, and was attended by more than 300 people. Bright is also a member of the College’s Board of Trustees and is on the Advisory Board for Emerson College Los Angeles, an academic facility currently being built.

Prospective students got to hear from successful alumni such as Bright and Steinberg on the value of their Emerson education.  Other speakers included Chrystee Pharris ‘98, an actress who starred in Passions and Scrubs; Todd Strauss-Schulson ‘03 a director whose first feature film, A Very Harold and Kumar 3D Christmas, was released in November; Production Supervisor/DreamWorks Animation, Digital VFX Coordinator/Luma Pictures Danielle Bemis ’08; Adam Ginivisian ‘07; the comedy writing team Steve Basilone ’03 and Annie Mebane ’03; and the MC for the event, Patrick Lambert ‘11.
