Boston’s Uncommon Radio featured on news magazine

Emerson’s on-campus radio station Boston’s Uncommon Radio, also known as WERS-FM 88.9, was featured on WCVB-TV’s “Chronicle” program. The station, which remains the highest rated student-run station in the nation and was recently named best Boston radio station by The Improper Bostonian, was part of a story about Tremont Street—its history and the culture and businesses along the three-mile stretch.

GM Jack Casey and student DJ Mariel Wade were interviewed and talked about the station’s unique line-up of programming that resonates with listeners around the world.
