Janis Andersen Receives Award

Janis Andersen, Dean of Emerson’s School of Communication, recently received a Distinguished Research Article Award from the National Communication Association (NCA).

Andersen accepted the award at the National Communication Association’s 96th convention, “Building Bridges,” in San Francisco November 14–17. The annual convention highlighted research in a variety of communication fields and honors researchers who have established an international reputation in a particular area of study. Andersen’s research explores the concept of teacher approachability in the classroom.
