Luncheon Recognizes Staff Members for Exceptional Service

Emerson staff members from departments all across the College gathered in the Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gym on August 24 to celebrate the hard work and dedication of their colleagues.

The theme of this year’s Staff Appreciation Luncheon was “Exploring Our Differences.” The day kicked off with a special Town Hall Meeting, featuring a lecture by Dr. Johnnetta B. Cole, Director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African Art and the first female African American President of Spelman College.

The luncheon featured food from many different cultures and the music of Zili Misik, an all-female group whose music evokes the sounds of Africa. Staff members who were recognized for more than 15 years of service were:
