Alexa Jackson joins Emerson in human resources

Alexa Jackson joined Emerson on July 27 as the newly appointed associate vice president for human resources.

“I’m very excited to be a part of the Emerson community,” said Jackson. “As the associate vice president of Human Resources, I am looking forward to settling in and partnering with members of the staff to understand how the Human Resources Department can continue to render high-quality services and make meaningful contributions toward Emerson’s ongoing reputation of excellence.”

Jackson has more than 13 years of senior management experience, including designing and implementing strategic and tactical human resource solutions. She has held senior human resource positions at Greater Lynn Senior Services, the MBTA, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, South Shore Mental Health, Advantage Schools, and C&K Components, Inc.

“Alexa’s broad experience in all types of human resource environments: large, small, public, nonprofit, etc… will help Emerson to build upon the superb foundation that Gwen Bates has created,” said Vice President and General Counsel Christine Hughes. “Alexa understands Emerson and loves the uniqueness of Emerson and the amazing energy of its people.”

Prior to coming to Emerson, Jackson was a senior instructor at Cambridge College. She taught courses on human resources management, diversity and inclusion, accounting, and principles of managing organizations. She holds a master’s degree in management from Cambridge College and professional study certificates from Northeastern University and the Society for Human Resources Management.
