Leccese discussed social media use on WGBH-FM

Assistant Professor Mark Leccese was on the Callie Crossley Show on WGBH-FM (89.7) recently to talk about the use of social media in political campaigns. He discussed how the Massachusetts governor’s race candidates are using social media and the risks and opportunities involved. Lecesse also recently blogged about social media use in the Massachusetts governor’s race on his Boston.com blog Gatekeeper. In the post, “Do you like me? Will you follow me? Social media in Mass. Gov. race,” Leccesse says, “Social media is a powerful campaign tool, and candidates use social media to go around traditional media and get their message to their supporters—and potential supporters—directly.”
