The College is saddened to share that former longtime faculty member, staff, and coach Pete Chvany passed away on September 7. Pete served the College in a variety of roles for more than 20 years.
In the classroom, on the Wall, on the soccer field, in the production rooms — Chvany was a huge presence at Emerson College.

Visual and Media Arts associate professor Maria San Filippo shared her expertise for the article “A genre reborn: Inside the evolution of the rom-com,” which examines the roll of romantic comedies in American film over the decades.
