Margot Douaihy, the celebrated author of the bestselling novel Scorched Grace: A Sister Holiday Mystery, will dive into a world of riveting mystery, unforgettable characters, and the powerful representation of LGBTQ+ voices.
An incoming WLP faculty member, Douaihy is the author of several collections of poetry in addition to Scorched Grace, which has been optioned for a screen adaptation, has attracted critical acclaim, and has been featured in various publications.
Douaihy is also a founding member of the Creative Writing Studies Organization and an active member of Sisters in Crime and the Radius of Arab American Writers. Her writing has been featured in numerous literary journals, and she co-edits the Elements in Crime Narrative Series. She will join Emerson in Fall 2023 as an assistant professor in Popular Fiction Writing and Literature.
