August Fowle ’23 (Communication Studies) will argue in the affirmative, and Jacob Blumenthal ’23 (Journalism) will take the negative position on one of the following issues, which will not be selected until the day of the debate:

• The pen is mightier than the sword.
• Amazon has far too much power.
• The world has a moral obligation to intervene in Haiti.
• The 2022 midterms were a win for Democrats.
• Liberal arts education ought to be preferred over research-oriented institutions.
