Shared Stories: ‘Dawnland’

The Emmy Award-winning documentary Dawnland tells the story of indigenous child removal, in which the stakes of family separation policy are no less than cultural survival. Go behind the scenes of the Maine-Wabanaki truth and reconciliation commission.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with filmmaker Adam Mazo and ArtsEmerson Interim Executive Director Ronee Penoi, moderated by Lisa Simmons, Director/Artistic Director, Roxbury International Film Festival.

Emerson students, faculty and staff can get one free ticket to any ArtsEmerson show on the day of the event, and can purchase up to two $10 theatre tickets in advance. Visit ArtsEmerson for more information.
