Musical Theatre Students Perform with Broadway Star Sutton Foster: Boston.com
Students majoring in Musical Theatre had the opportunity of a lifetime when the chance to sing with Broadway legend Sutton Foster presented itself, thanks to coordination between Associate Professor and Head of Musical Theatre Sariva Goetz, Emerson Colonial Theatre staff, and Foster’s team.
Foster was in Boston on Saturday, January 25 to perform at the Emerson Colonial Theatre as part of her “An Evening with Sutton Foster” tour.
Arianna Arocho ’29 sang in a trio with Foster and Livia Quist, as three generations of Fiona from Shrek the Musical. Among the numbers Emersonians sang with Foster was the tune “On My Way” from the musical Violet.
