Alum Amber McBride’s ‘The Leaving Room’ Named to National Book Award Longlist

For the second time, Amber McBride, MFA ’13 has a book named to the National Book Award longlist.

The Leaving Room is one of 10 books longlisted for the Young People’s Literature category. Her debut novel Me (Moth) was a finalist for National Book Award in 2022 in the same category.
