Podcast Host Palmer ’25 Lands on 25 Under 25 Innovators List

Alum Layla Palmer ’25, creator of the Heart to Hustle podcast, was named to the BostInno 25 Under 25 list of young innovators by the Boston Business Journal.
Heart to Hustle, which Palmer started in Executive-in-Residence Mark Brodie‘s class while a Business of Creative Enterprises major at Emerson, shares in-depth stories of entrepreneurs and how they were able to translate their creative passion and drive into viable careers and businesses.
Fittingly, that passion and drive is what landed Palmer on the BostInno list.
“Each innovator on this list is dedicated to their cause, not because they want to make millions or get famous, but because it’s all they can think about,” the publication writes. “One even passed up a trip to Disneyland because she was so engrossed in thinking about her startup. “They’re all under 25, but they’re all above and beyond expectation.”
Palmer told Emerson Today in January 2025 that one of her goals with the podcast is to offer guidance and inspiration to her own generation of young professionals.
“Our generation is dealing with circumstances that older generations didn’t face because the landscape has changed so much,” said Palmer. “I want to spotlight successful individuals while asking the questions that resonate with people our age. Questions that offer real advice.”
