Comedic Arts Affiliated Faculty member Tripp Whetsell ’94 sat down with CBS Boston to talk about his new book Norman Lear: His Life & Times, which was released earlier this month.
Whetsell spoke about wanting to write a biography of Norman Lear ’44, one of Emerson’s most famous alums.
“I wanted to write a book about Norman Lear for many years…it looks at his life totality,” said Whetsell of Lear, who Zoomed into Whetsell’s twice through the years. “He always made you feel like you were the most important person in the room.”
Whetsell also teaches a class about Norman Lear as part of the Comedic Arts program.
