Women’s Soccer Receives Four All-NEWMAC Accolades
Four members of Emerson College women’s soccer team collected All-New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference honors (NEWMAC), as the league office announced its end-of-season awards on November 15.
Defender Yoshiko Slater ’25 and Midfielder Anna Swisher ’25 earned All-NEWMAC first team honors. Midfielder Linae Bezdek ’26 and Midfielder Maddie Khaw ’26 received All-NEWMAC second team honors.
Slater started all 20 matches for the Lions and ranked second on the squad with four goals, including two game-winning tallies.
Swisher started and appeared in 18 matches this season and played a key role in Emerson’s defensive unit which posted a 1.09 goals-against-average in conference action.
Bezdek led the Lions and ranked seventh in the league with seven goals on the season, and had one assist.
Khaw had seven points for the year to rank third on the team, collecting two goals and three assists. She started all 20 matches during the season and registered all seven of her points in conference action.
The women’s team lost 1-0 in the NEWMAC semifinals against WPI, and Emerson finished with a 7-8-5 record, and went 5-4-2 in conference play.
