New Fitness Center to Open Nov 4 at Piano Row
Dear Emersonians,
We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of our new 13,000-square-foot Fitness Center in Piano Row, a space dedicated to promoting the health and wellness of our entire Emerson community. After nearly six years of planning and development — including multiple moves and improvements of student spaces over the course of this period — the College has brought the fitness center back to a central campus location, providing easier access for all our community members.
This multi-level, state-of-the-art facility, located at 150 Boylston St., will officially open its doors on Monday, November 4, at 9:30 a.m. The fitness center located on Summer Street will close Sunday, November 3 at 5:00 p.m.
The fitness center features multiple weight areas with benches, cardio equipment, strength machines, a studio space, indoor turf for sled pushes, and other equipment providing a first-class environment for strength and conditioning training. For a list of equipment and hours, please visit the website.
This new facility is open to all of our students, as well as faculty and staff, providing a convenient and accessible way to support physical health and well-being on campus.
All users will be required to complete a membership form acknowledging the rules and regulations associated with the new center, which can be completed online prior to visiting the center.
A special thank you to our Facilities, Campus Services, and the Athletics & Fitness Center staff for their hard work and dedication in making this vision a reality. Their efforts have created a space that will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being of our community.
Sincerely,
Christie Anglade, Interim Vice President and Dean of Campus Life
Paul Dworkis, Vice President, Administration and Finance and CFO
Jay Bernhardt, President
