This Halloween season, the Emerson College Baking Club showed off a couple tricks to make delicious treats.

The organization started three years ago and meets weekly. This past Friday, in preparation for Halloween, the members baked up blood red velvet cupcakes and dipped strawberries in white chocolate to make adorable fruit ghosts.

Club President Kellyn Taylor ’26 said the club is always looking for more members to get their hands covered in batter, and it offers a fun, no pressure creative outlet.

“There are so many clubs that focus on actually creating official things, like magazines, films, and stuff,” said Taylor. “It feels like everything matters so much that sometimes you just want something to do that fun where you don’t care about the outcome as much.”

Not a fan of sweets? Despite its name, the club doesn’t limit itself to baking. They’ve made pancakes, pretzels, and popped popcorn on the stove.

If you would like to stop by, the club meets every Friday from 3 to 5 pm on the 3rd Floor communal kitchen in the Colonial.
