Support Services Available to Emerson Community
The past few weeks have been extremely challenging, and many in our community are experiencing significant stress and anxiety related to recent events. The College is offering a number of resources to provide support during this time of crisis.
There are two counselors onsite today, Friday April 26,until 1:00 p.m. for students, staff and faculty. One will be based at 172 Tremont in the Cultural Center room and will focus on students. The other counselor is based in Walker 501, and will support staff and faculty. Additional support services will be announced for next week.
Staff and faculty can also access the Employee Assistance Program at 1-800-624-5544 for unlimited “In the Moment” support. That number can also be used for a referral for three free, individual counseling sessions.
Students can access additional support services by contacting Healing and Advocacy at 617-824-8857 (emerson.edu/healing). Students also may choose to speak to a support staff member at the Wellness Center (617-824-8666).
We encourage everyone who finds they need extra support during this difficult and painful time to take advantage of any and all resources available to them.
