Announcing Interim Leadership for Office of the Arts, ArtsEmerson

Dear Emerson community members,

I am pleased to announce that Ronee Penoi, Director of Artistic Programming for ArtsEmerson, has accepted my request to serve as interim Executive Director of ArtsEmerson and the Office of the Arts, assuming interim executive leadership over both areas, beginning November 16. I am also grateful that Jamie Gahlon has accepted my request to serve as interim Senior Director of the Office of the Arts upon her return from leave, in addition to serving in her primary role as AVP, and will report to Ronee. I am confident that Ronee and Jamie will bring strong and consistent leadership to our important work and maintain Emerson’s artistic and civic engagement within our community. 

We are also grateful for David C. Howse’s leadership over many years leading ArtsEmerson and the Office of the Arts and his commitment to bringing contemporary world theatre to Emerson and Boston. We wish David the best as he departs Emerson to become the next President of the California College of the Arts (CCA) in San Francisco.
