Williams Scott on Actors’ Strike & Impact: GBH, WBUR

Marketing Communication affiliated faculty and producer Nerissa Williams Scott provided insight into the SAG-AFTRA strike, nearly three months after the Writers Guild of America began theirs, marking an unprecedented time in the industry.

[Numerous studios] have made mention that they are simply going to wait the actors and writers out. … Meaning once the union members have no more money, they [the studios] will get what they want. It’s really sad.

When artists stand together there is no telling what will happen. We as artists are a direct reflection of society.

Williams Scott is the CEO and lead creative producer of Boston-based That Child Got Talent Entertainment.
