Daniels Direct Coolidge for Cover of Directors Issue: W Magazine

Emerson alums and official big deals Daniel Kwan ’10, Daniel Scheinert ’09, and Jennifer Coolidge ’85 teamed up for the cover shot and photo spread in W Magazine‘s Directors Issue.

The annual Directors Issue, now in its fifth year, highlights some of a given year’s most exciting directors, including multiple Oscar nominees.

Directors Kwan and Scheinert have been raking in awards and nominations for their genre-bending hit film Everything Everywhere All at Once, currently the frontrunner for a number of Oscars. Coolidge has won an Emmy, a Golden Globe, a Critic’s Choice, and a SAG award for her portrayal of Tanya on HBO’s The White Lotus, and has been starring in series and films almost nonstop for the past few years.

W writes:

“For their latest romp, the directors said there was no question that Coolidge had to be the A-list star of this B-movie shoot, though they had never worked with the actor and their only in-person interaction with her was a brief hello at the Critics Choice Awards in January. ‘But of all the people who are having a moment right now, she felt like someone exciting to put on the cover of a magazine,’ Kwan said.”
