Alumna Abdy ’95 on Taking Risks and the Future of MGM: THR

Pamela Abdy ’95, president of MGM’s motion picture group, talked to The Hollywood Reporter about newly released House of Gucci, the pending $8.5 billion sale of MGM to Amazon, the upcoming Legally Blonde 3, and her early career working with Danny DeVito’s Jersey Films.

“We’re trying to take original swings,” Abdy told THR in response to a question about taking risks. “If you look at our slate, the one thing in common is that the movies are filmmaker-driven.”
