Military Film Festival Brings Alums Together
Two Emerson College alums happened to come upon each other while showing their documentaries at the 9th Annual Military Film Festival.
Melissa McLaughlin ’94 shared her meeting of Morton Dean ’57 on Facebook.
Dean was there to promote his film American Medevac. The documentary is about Dean reuniting with cameraman Greg Cooke after 40 years. As a CBS News correspondent Dean worked with Cooke while covering a harrowing medevac mission during the Vietnam War.
McLaughlin was at the festival to promote her film Vietnam War Miracle. The film is about five soldiers reintegrating into society in the face of persecution after coming back from the Vietnam War.
