Comedian Bill Burr ‘92 Nominated for Grammy Award

Comedian and Emerson alumnus Bill Burr ’92 was nominated for a Grammy Award earlier this month for the recording of his Netflix comedy special, Paper Tiger.

Filmed at Royal Albert Hall in London and released in September 2019, Paper Tiger was nominated for Best Comedy Album, and was Burr’s sixth stand-up comedy special.

Nominated alongside Burr were Tiffany Haddish (Black Mitzvah), Patton Oswalt (I Love Everything), Jim Gaffigan (The Pale Tourist), and Jerry Seinfeld (23 Hours to Kill).

Burr also created and stars in the Netflix animated sitcom F is for Family, and hosts The Monday Morning Podcast, a twice-weekly comedy podcast.

The 64th Grammy Awards will be presented Sunday, January 31, on CBS.
