Emerson Counseling and Psychological Services (ECAPS) COVID-19 Updates
Your health and safety are our first priority. Due to the cessation of in-person classes at the College, ECAPS is taking precautions to keep our community healthy and minimize the risk of exposure. Beginning Monday, March 23, all therapy sessions will be virtual using Zoom-HIPAA or phone. Appointments will be available to students in the following ways:
Students currently being seen at ECAPS with either a staff clinician and/or psychiatrist: Your clinician and/or psychiatrist will be in touch via email to arrange a call to discuss next steps. For students staying in Massachusetts, your clinician will discuss options for remote therapy. For students who are out of state, your clinician will be in touch about assisting you with finding community referrals and other resources, which could include telehealth options.
Initiating counseling at ECAPS: Students who are staying in Massachusetts may call our main phone number (617-824-8595) to set up an initial appointment.
Crisis/urgent support: Please call our main phone number (617-824-8595) to schedule an urgent care appointment. Weekends, evenings, and from 12:00-1:00 pm, our ECAPS after-hours crisis line will be available (Call 617-824-8595, then press 1).
ECAPS is here to support you during this difficult time. Additional resources available to all students are listed below.
