Important Update: Dining Center, Transportation Building
Dear students, faculty, and staff,
As you may know, on Sunday evening Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker announced new emergency actions to combat the spread of COVID-19 across the Commonwealth. In an effort to reinforce the practice of social distancing, public gatherings of 25 or more people will be prohibited until April 6, and restaurants in Massachusetts will be takeout only. These measures will impact our on-campus dining experience as well as access to the State Transportation Building.
On Monday, March 16, the Dining Center will be open as usual but will offer limited seating of 25 in all locations, including the Dining Center, Center Stage, Private Dining Room, and Lions Den. Hours of operation will not change.
Beginning Tuesday, March 17, all meals in the Dining Center will be served in “To-Go” containers and will need to be taken out of the Dining Center to be eaten elsewhere. At this time, Dining Center hours will not be impacted by this change. Retail locations will remain open through Friday, March 20, with the exception of the Backstage Cafe, which will remain closed until further notice.
Additionally, the College has been notified that the State Transportation Building will be closed to the public on Monday, March 16, and Tuesday, March 17. As a result, restaurants located in the food court, as well as public access through the building, will be closed on both days.
We appreciate your cooperation with these mandated changes. Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional information.
