Change in Tonight’s Sidewalk Work and Next Week’s Schedule

Dear Emerson Community:

Happy Halloween. 

NOTICE REGARDING TONIGHT’S WORK 

Due to the removal of the sidewalk at 114 Boylston Street, access to the Emerson College Police Department (ECPD) entrance will be closed tonight, 10/31, from 6:00 pm to 7:00 am tomorrow morning. All services will still be available by calling ECPD at 617-824-8555. For emergencies please call 617-824-8888 on-campus and 911 for off-campus.

The work schedule for the Boylston Street sidewalk project next week will be from Monday, 11/4/19 to Friday, 11/8/19. The work hours will be Monday – Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. An evening shift will be added either on Tuesday or Thursday from 4:00 pm to midnight to remove demo materials off site.

The work for next week will include:  

• Continuation of demo to the existing sidewalk 
• Remove existing waterproofing and granite curbing
  
• Saw cutting of existing roadway/curbing along 114-116 Boylston St. (in front of bookstore and ECPD)
• Removal and load out of concrete and stones off site
