Getty Fire; ELA Campus Safe

Dear Emerson Community,

As many of you are aware, early this morning a wildfire broke out in Los Angeles along the 405 freeway near the Getty Center, and spread to the south and west, leading to the evacuation of thousands of buildings and homes in the area. Emerson’s Los Angeles campus is safe; the fires are 16 miles away from ELA, and the air quality near campus remains unaffected. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and the devastation caused by these fires.

Many Emersonians live and work in the areas affected by the fires. Please join me in keeping them in our thoughts and prayers.
