Watch Boylston Place Dorms Being Built

Now you can watch Emerson College's new 380-bed residence hall at 1-3 Boylston Place being built, brick by brick without stepping outside, courtesy of a camera mounted atop the Walker Building.  

Right now, all that's visible is a tall crane and the back of Piano Row, but over the course of the next eight months, people logging on to the “crane cam” will be able to watch the new dorms come into existence under blue skies and gray, according to Michael Faia, Emerson's director of construction management. 

The residence hall is slated to be completed by fall 2017.
