Submissions of Graduate Media Work Sought

Graduate students will present their media-based work at the New England Graduate Media Symposium, an annual, one-day event hosted by the Visual and Media Arts Department at Emerson College.

The purpose of the symposium is to create an occasion for graduate students to formally present their work to each other, faculty, and professional colleagues.

Noted experimental performance artist Laurie Anderson will be the keynote speaker.

The symposium is open to all graduate students in New England currently pursuing degrees in film, media, media theory, and other related fields. Materials can be time-based, interactive, performative, or paper/panel presentations.

This year’s event, to be held March 25, 2016, is titled “Assembling Bodies: Exchanges in Collaboration” and will showcase projects that explore collaboration as a subject.
