Outside The Box Festival returns July 14-19

The free Outside the Box Festival is coming back to Boston Common July 14–19, featuring an exciting lineup of performances that include contestants on NBC’s The Voice, as well as Guster, New Politics, Atlas Genius, Alex Preston, The Gin Blossoms, Kacey Musgraves, Austin Web, and Cam.

Outside the Box is the vision of Boston-based philanthropist, arts enthusiast, and Emerson College Trustee Emeritus Ted Cutler ’51, who believes in the power of arts to educate and inspire creative thinking.
The festival will open on Tuesday, July 14, with a spectacular performance expected from the world-renowned Turkish dance group Fire of Anatolia. It will be preceded by Puppeteers Cooperative, the Boston Circus Guild, Emperor Norton’s Stationary Marching Band, and a collaborative dance ensemble piece featuring eight local dance companies.

Over the following five days, the festival will feature family-friendly performances; interactive arts activities; and a showcase of cultures from across the globe through music, dance, opera, theater, and more.
