On Sunday, April 19, Emerson sorority Alpha Epsilon Phi will host the 11th annual Ribbons on the Runway fundraiser.

The event, from 4:00 to 7:30 pm at the Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common, includes a live auction, reception with food, live music from the Emerson a cappella group Achoired Taste, and a fashion show.

All proceeds from the event and donations on Alpha Epsilon Phi’s website will be given to Sharsheret, an organization that benefits Jewish women and their families affected by breast cancer.

The live auction will be led by Talia Heller ’15 and Marcos Gonzalez ’16 with around 60 items to be auctioned off, including gift cards from local retail outlets, a necklace from Lou Lou Boutique, a photo shoot by a photographer who is an Emerson alum, and more.

Spring-themed clothing for the fashion show will be provided by Crush Boutique, LF, Reiss, Ted Baker, Brandy Melville, and more, and will be worn by 25 different models—both male and female.

“Ribbons was started at Emerson, and other chapters from different schools are now starting it,” said Ribbons on the Runway chair Lauren Amar ’15.

Tickets are $15 for adults or $10 with a valid student ID and can be purchased at the door or online
