Latino Idol brings student performances

Students celebrated Latin music and culture during the Latino Idol event in the Multipurpose Room of the Max Mutchnick Campus Center on March 18.

Organized by the student organization Amigos and the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, Latino Idol featured Latin musical performances by Emerson students with cash prizes.

The three winners were Penelope De La Rosa ’17 (first place); Maddie Rojas Lynch ’16 (second place); and Evan Glasser ’15 (third place).

Speaking Spanish was not required—students simply had to select a song by a Latin artist to participate.
