Emerson wins EPA award

Emerson College has been named the winner of the Environmental Protection Agency’s College and University Green Power Challenge for the Great Northeast Athletic Conference for 2012-13.

The EPA’s Green Power Partnership tracked the collegiate athletic conferences with the highest combined green power usage in the nation. The challenge is open to all U.S. colleges, universities and conferences.

Emerson targets the purchase of renewable energy certificates for 100 percent of its electricity consumption.
