How can we distribute COVID-19 vaccines equitably in an inequitable society? Should we go by age, occupation, race, zip code? Or should we just throw up our hands and go with a lottery? Each of these strategies has its pros and cons, which we will attempt to explore and discuss.
Dena S. Davis, JD, PhD, is a Marlboro College graduate (Class of 1972) and an Emerson College trustee. After teaching for two decades at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, she now teaches bioethics at Lehigh University. She was a Fellow at the Cleveland Clinic, and a visiting scholar at ASU, Hastings Center, the Brocher Foundation, and NIH. She has been a Fulbright scholar in India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, and Sweden.
