Honors Program Fall Lecture: Joan Donovan on ‘Meme Wars’

The Honors Program at Emerson College welcomes Joan Donovan (Harvard Kennedy School), who will be speaking on her new book  Meme Wars: The Untold Story of the Online Battles Upending Democracy in America .

Dr. Donovan leads the Technology and Social Change Project (TaSC) at the Harvard Kennedy School Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy.  She will speak on TaSC’s work to conduct research, develop methods, and facilitate workshops for journalists, policy makers, technologists, and civil society organizations on how to detect, document, and debunk media manipulation campaigns.
