Emerson Poetry Project’s Love Slam

Love is everywhere, and on Monday, February 14th at 8PM, it is in Little Building 227! Emerson Poetry Project will be holding their annual Love Slam Competition, where all the poems are centered around love! Compete for glory and the adoration of our audience! Poets who wish to participate in the slam can register with this link any time before the event. If you don’t want to compete, you can come as an audience member and listen to other Emerson students read their poems on the mic!
Rules For Poems: The love poem you perform must be an original work, under three minutes long. No costumes, props, or musical accompaniment. The poem can be about any sort of love 💖 (romantic, familial, self-love, unrequited love, etc.), what the word “love” means is up to you.
The Emerson Poetry Project (E.P.P.) is dedicated to building a community of writers who want to share their original work, receive helpful feedback, and improve their craft through the medium of performance poetry. Every voice is important, and E.P.P. provides an open environment in which anyone and everyone is welcome to contribute. We hold weekly meetings consisting of open mics, slams, featured poets, and workshops.
