Emerson Poetry Project is bringing Emerson Alumni and Boston poet Lip Manegio (’20) back to the E.P.P. mic! Come join us at our Weekly Open Mic on Monday, October 17th, at 8PM in Little Building 227 for a night of poetry reading, reunions, and fun!

Lip Manegio (they/he) is a white, trans Pushcart & Best of the Net-nominated writer, organizer, designer, bookmaker, and cryptid who is learning how to be unapologetically in love with life. Their work has appeared in Glass: A Journal of Poetry, Puerto del Sol, Gordon Square Review, Tin House, and are the author of We’ve All Seen Helena. They curated the Extremely Online reading series for the Boston Poetry Slam & worked as the program assistant for Mass Poetry, and are now Editor-in-Chief of Ginger Bug Press, a micropublishing project that they founded in October of 2020.

The Emerson Poetry Project (E.P.P.) is dedicated to building a community of writers who want to share their original work, receive helpful feedback, and improve their craft through the medium of performance poetry. Every voice is important, and EPP provides an open environment in which anyone and everyone is welcome to contribute. We hold weekly meetings consisting of open mics, slams, featured poets, and workshops.
