Faculty Filmmakers Reisman and Ryan Preview the 98th Academy Awards: WCVB
School of Film, Television, and Media Arts Senior Distinguished Producer-in-Residence Linda Reisman and Associate Professor Michael Ryan, both voting members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, joined Boston’s ABC-affiliate, WCVB, to discuss the process of selecting Oscar winners ahead of the network’s airing of the Awards ceremony on Sunday, March 15.
Reisman weighed in on whether marketing and social media buzz affect her voting, saying, “[Now], I try to just trust my instincts about material.”
