Boston Is #8 City to Live In and Make Movies: MovieMaker Magazine
Boston landed a top spot in MovieMaker magazine’s list of the “Best Places to Live and Work as a Moviemaker in 2026”, and cites Emerson College specifically as the place where “The Daniels” (Academy Award–winning alumni Daniel Kwan ’09 and Daniel Scheinert ’10) got their start in the film industry.
Los Angeles, ranked in MovieMaker’s Best Places to Live and Work as a Moviemaker”” Hall of Fame, is also home to Emerson Los Angeles campus, which is situated prominently on Sunset Boulevard.
