Emerson Pays Tribute to ‘Stranger Things’ Alum : Boston Globe

The Boston Globe gave a shoutout to Emerson College and its most famous fictional alum, Stranger Things‘ Nancy Wheeler ’19, after the Alumni Association posted on Instagram to congratulate the Hawkins, Indiana, native for saving the world.

In the finale of the Netflix series, the indefatigable Nancy (Natalia Dyer) reveals that she attended Emerson to study journalism, but took a break to write for the Boston Herald.

But according to college records, Wheeler, with her “relentless Emerson spirit,” eventually returned to finish her degree in 2019.

The post has over 75,500 likes and counting. No word on whether Wheeler has posted to the Emerson Mafia.
