Emerson Named Top 10 Film School in the U.S.: TheWrap
Emerson College was named the #10 film school in the U.S. by TheWrap in the entertainment publication’s annual list of the Top 50 Film Schools.
TheWrap specifically highlights the College’s newly created School of Film, Television, and Media Arts, enhancing the former Visual and Media Arts Department, which is home to a third of the College’s students. The feature also spotlights the College’s unique global programming opportunities in Paris, the Netherlands, and at Emerson Los Angeles; its exploration of AI; and its first-in-the-country BFA in Comedic Arts.
Rankings were determined by criteria such as the breadth of film/TV/media classes offered, including classes that address cutting-edge technology (i.e., artificial intelligence and digital arts); the number of core classes within the discipline required to complete the degree; and hands-on experience offered, along with notable alumni and their accomplishments.
