Gellman Named to Global Women’s Leadership Group
Mneesha Gellman, Associate Professor of Political Science in the Marlboro Institute for Liberal Arts and Interdisciplinary Studies, was named to the Global Community for Women’s Leadership (GCWL), an initiative of the Institute of International Education.
As a member of the inaugural GCWL cohort, Gellman, who also directs the Emerson Prison Initiative, will receive support for her own leadership development activities, as well as network and participate in community-building activities with other cohort members. Going forward, she will serve as a resource to future GCWL members.
The Global Community for Women’s Leadership represents an effort on the part of IIE to help close the leadership gender gap worldwide, with a focus on international education. The inaugural cohort comprises women representing 30 countries and disciplines spanning the arts, liberal arts, communication, science, and technology.
